Today we’ll be looking at the cars of the Alfa Romeo class at the 2026 London Concours.
Alfa Romeo is well renowned for building beautiful cars and the London Concours wanted to celebrate that history of beauty.
Much like the Dream Cars class – which you can read about here: https://motorsportformentalhealth.com/2026/06/11/london-concours-2026-dream-cars/ – the cars of the Alfa Romeo class were all colour co-ordinated. All the cars were red!
We’ll start with a lovely Zagato bodied 1932 8C Spider.
A 1958 Giulietta Sprint Veloce with an extensive history of competition in period.
A very desirable ‘Step Nose’ Giulia Sprint GT Veloce.
1750 GTV
A Montreal. This particular example was once owned by Simon Le Bon of Duran Duran.
The Alfetta was quite an underappreciated car until the last 10 years or so. Now, as with most classic and unusual cars, they are really collectible.
This particular one has a charming story. A family friend of the current owner used to own it and would pick the current owner up from school in it. In 1997 rust forced it off the road and in 2001 the current owner bought it for the price of a meal and a case of Italian wine, before putting it through a bare metal restoration. Today it is lovingly used as the owner’s summer car.
The RZ, pictured below, and it’s hard top sibling the SZ, were a limited run of sports cars built by Zagato in the early 1990s.
They seem to be a bit of a ‘Marmite’ car – some people love them and some hate them. I’m personally a fan, but I do like Zagato’s stranger designs.
The fabulous newer iteration of the 8C.
Finally we have the Giulia. This is the Quadrifoglio which is the sportier version, but I think even the base Giulia is a fantastic looking car! Considerably better looking than its German contemporaries of a similar vintage.
I hope you enjoyed this little look around the Alfa Romeo class of the 2026 London Concours.
