How Helping Others Helps You (Challenge)

Chaps and Chapettes,

More often than not people are totally secluded in their own little worlds. It’s not necessarily their fault, the fast paced nature of modern society makes it very difficult to make time for others, especially strangers.

However, in work I often like to give people the best possible service that I can. I like to be friendly and helpful and if I can go beyond what the service offers in order to give them the best possible experience so they can leave with a smile on their face. I’m sure many of us that work in a retail or service type environment do the same for our customers and it feels great. I’ve found it feels even better to do that outside of work though when you really don’t have to!

I’m therefore setting you all a challenge. Try to do one nice thing for a complete stranger everyday for the next couple of weeks and see how much happier you become. I’m a huge believer that the more happiness you put into the world the more you get out of it and so I think it will be interesting to see if you feel the same as me once you’ve started making a positive change in strangers lives, no matter how big or small that change may be.

My apologies for my absence from this blog over the past 10 days. I’ve just been either working or sleeping! I don’t like this time of year haha! I think I was made to hibernate.

Thanks for reading and as always be sure to follow me on Twittube and Faceagram!
