If you find yourself in Billericay Essex, on Southend Road you will find Bill Schrader’s breakers tucked away behind a couple of cottages. He holds a massive stock of Mercedes old and new(ish).
It’s sad to see the cars left abandoned, though the parts will eventually go into other cars.
There are a handful of W124 estates there, both pre and post facelift.
The yard is a good source of R107 spares.
This W123 coupe could still make a nice project car.
He also has several older S-Classes in stock.
If you’re in the South Essex area and own an old Mercedes, be sure to keep Bill in mind. He has a lot of cars and his prices are reasonable.
